Featuring tenor Davron Monroe, literary performer Regie Gibson, and pianist and Artistic Director Rachel Goodwin, American Voice in Poetry and Song II explores the expressive range of African-American composers such as Margaret Bonds and John W. Work III, alongside poets including Langston Hughes and Regie Gibson himself. Convergence Ensemble Advisor Charles Coe will moderate the event, and Dr. Michael Cooper will present as a guest speaker.
